University of Massachusetts Amhurst associate professor of epidemiology Elizabeth Bertone-Johnson reports on her studies that woman who smoke are twice as likely to have moderate to severe cramping. Her work goes on to show that young preteens who smoke are even more likely to develop these issues into adult years.
